The cleaning lady came into my room to sweep, mop, empty trash, wipe stuff down, etc etc.
She told me about a woman in the waiting room somewhere around the ER who was giving her shit. Because her part of the waiting room wasn’t cleaned yet, she said “you’re a piece of shit who can’t even do a shitty job”. I told the cleaning lady “that’s fucked up for her to treat you like that”.
Later I thought of more I wanted to say to her, but when she was there I just had a dose of morphine so I wasn’t thinking as fast lol.
I doubt you’ll ever read this but if you do this is what I wanted to say…
There are very few people who would do that job for what I assume is crap pay. And in my opinion you have one of the most important jobs in a hospital. People come in with open wounds, compromised immune systems, and coming in needing surgery. It’s imperative that the hospital is clean and sterile.
In my opinion, you have one of the most important jobs in the hospital.
Everyone who checks out alive should thank you.
