I can’t remember..

I can’t remember if I’ve posted this before but here it goes anyways.

It was the last day of the year in high school. I was in ROTC. Even though our CO said we couldn’t go play war games, we didn’t listen. War games was stuff like “capture the flag” and other crap. I was in full camo… face painted and all.

I don’t know why but one of the guys on the other team had a problem with me all year. Still don’t know why. But he came at me hard… not as per the game, he was attacking me.

So I threw all my weight into a punch. It landed on his jaw and made him fly in the air, twist around and hit the ground. If I’d have missed that punch I’d have fell on my ass, but I landed it.

He got back up and charged me kind of like a football player would try to tackle you. He hit me around my hips. I bent over and picked him upside down and (think wrestlemania) power drives him into the ground.

he tried to get up and punch me more but I knew he was done so I just stood there and let him try, laughing inside my head, but not out loud. There were so many people I didn’t want to humiliate him anymore in front of others.

teachers were coming because like I said, we didn’t have permission to play war games so we all ran.

there was a building that was infamous for being crowded as shit.. I’m talking 20 minutes to walk through it.

I started walking through it. With my anger/camo/face paint, I swear 100 kids looked at me and it was like Moses parting the Red Sea. Everyone looked scared and just got out of my way.

Him and I got called to the principals office. But it was the last day of the year and so late in the day they didn’t do anything. Not like they could suspend or evict us or anything and if they caused us to miss our bus they’d have to drive us home so they just let us go.

Years later I was a waiter at Waffle House. He and and some friends came in. I was their waiter. He told them “this dude kicked the hell out of my ass”. All I said is “that was a long time ago.” Then I made sure they had the best service.

I still have no clue why he had a problem with me back then. I had no problem with him.
