She said “you don’t know what it’s like to have to wake up at 4:30 to go,to work. I do, lineman and all.
She gets up, feeds the dog, showers, puts on her clothes, does her hair and makeup, goes out and spends time getting coffee before she goes into the office, and gets off at 4:30 and has nothing but free time after that.
I kept my mouth shut. But I was thinking “you don’t know what it’s like to go to bed, get called out in 5 minutes, barely enough time to lace up my boots, drive 10-20 miles … spend an hour or so climbing poles to fix an outage. Drive back home, take off your boots lay down and 5 minutes later… the same thing. Same thing over and over for two weeks..
Don’t complain cause you have to wake up early to put on makeup and go somewhere to drink your coffee and sit in a chair for 7 hours.
Sorry, it just pissed me off that she was telling me I don’t know what it feels like. So I had to rant.
